留学を希望されるみなさんへ（2018年4月版）
大阪大学の渥美です。実は、毎年、たくさんの問い合わせを頂いています。まず、以下の基本方針やスケジュールを読んで、自分が目指す道と合致しているか、じっくりと検討してみてもらえませんか？その上で、受験してみようと考えた場合には、末尾の課題を渥美宛(atsumi[at]hus.osaka-u.ac.jp)に電子メールで送ってください。
語学力
日本語：日本語能力試験N1試験 145点以上
英語：TOEFL-iBT 85以上、あるいは、IELTS 6.5以上
であること
★概要
（１）当該団体に長期にわたって真摯に関われるかどうか(真摯に関わるとはどういうことか。自分の主張だけをしているようでは、話にならないことなど説明して理解を求めます）
（２）博士課程なのだから、国内外の学会発表はもとより国内外の学術雑誌に審査付き論文が掲載できるように、いわば、夜を徹して指導するが耐えられるかどうか
（３）各地の学術的・実務的研究会等に出て行って、研究室の院生として責任をもって対応できるか
（４）自分の動きについて、１つ１つきちんと報告し、相談し、指導を素直に受け入れられるか
（５）指導教員が様々な文脈でサポートすべく動いていることを加味して(空気を読んで)動けるかどうか
（６）これらをきちんとやれなければ、最大6年、最悪学位なしの修了とすることもあが受け入れられるかどうか(現実には、そうならないように指導するのですが、さらに現実には、学位なしで退学した者もないわけではありません）。
（７）こうした方針の下で現在複数の院生が研究室としてそれなりの一体感をもち、成果を上げ始めていますので、その中できちんとやっていけるかをじっくり考えて判断するように求めます。
★研究分野の基本方針
１．社会に生じている問題に実際に関わります。フィールドワークを行います。
２．理論的考察を重視します（単に災害ボランティア活動に参加するだけではX）。
３．現場での実践活動を重視します（が、それが単位になるわけではありません）。
４．研究方法は問いません（定量的、定性的どちらでもOK：テーマ次第です）。
５．自由に動くことを奨励しますが、安全、および、現場との調整を徹底します。
６．国内外、研究者･実践家を問わず、様々な方々と研究･実践交流を展開します。
７．世界に通じる高度な研究を目指します。
８．英語で議論できるようにします(英会話は当然と考えてください）。
★研究室スケジュール
１．講義：災害ボランティアに関する講義(日本語、英語）を受講します。
２．演習：毎週火曜日午後に行われるゼミに出席します。研究内容の発表、日本語、英語の文献を読みます。ただし、文献は、ボランティア関係に限定しません。哲学、社会学、人類学、教育学、障害学、統計学、文学など幅広く読みます。
３．ABAW(A Book A Week)、APAD(A Paper A Day)に参加します。ABAWは、2週間に1回書評を書いて共有します。APADは、1週間に3本の日英の学術論文を読み短くまとめたものを共有します。
４．合宿に参加します。夏には論文の進捗状況を確認し、推進する合宿。秋には、大学にこもって研究する合宿を行います。
５．国内外の学会で発表します。今年度は、日本グループ・ダイナミックス学会、日本心理学会、日本質的心理学会、日本災害復興学会、日本自然災害学会、IDRiM（インド）、国際応用人類学会（カナダ）などに参加して発表してもらいます。
６．他学年のメンバーと自主的研究会を実施します。
７．他の学生のフィールドにも出かけます。
８．メールでのやりとりは、迅速かつ丁寧に行うことを課します。

２．Seminar：Attend my seminar on every Tuesday. Present your research, read articles/books in Japanese and English. These reading materials includes not only volunteer studies, but also philosophy, sociology, anthropology, education, disability studies, statistics, and literature.
３．Participate in ABAW(A Book A Week)、and APAD(A Paper A Day). ABAW is a book review every two weeks, while APAD is a short summary of an article three times a week.
４．Join us at Study Camps in summer and in autumn. Examine your draft article in summer and intensive discussion in autumn.
５．Present your research at domestic/international academic conferences. This year, students will attend Japanese Group Dynamics Association, Japanese Psychological Association, Japanese Qualitative Psychology Association, Japanese Disaster Revitalization Association, Japanese Natural Disaster Association, Integrated Disaster Risk Management Conference (India), Applied Anthropology Conference (Canada).
